It’s time to bring stuttering resources and supports to EVERYone. FreedomLaine offers a bridge between the stuttering community and underserved communities.

Who
We Are

Welcome to FreedomLaine, an initiative to help persons who stutter from underserved communities free themselves from the fear and shame of their stutter by connecting them to resources and supports in the stuttering community.

Our Mission

To empower those who stutter within underserved communities to live life without fear, shame, or embarrassment, by connecting them to education, resources, and supports within the stuttering community, so they can “Stutter Better”.

I’m Chris McLeod, a Black man who stutters. A nightmare at the age of three left me with a lifelong stutter. For most of my life I dealt with the shame, fear, and anxiety from my stutter. When the world went virtual in 2020, everything changed. My stutter became the worst it had ever been. Zoom meetings became high stress situations where I was put on the spot to speak. It was paralyzing. When it all became too much to bear, I decided to do something about it.

A personal growth story…
